Employers Liability Certificates
New rules on retaining Employers Liability Certificates The Employers Liability (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 came into effect on the 1 October 2008 and has significantly changed the responsibilities of employers to display and retain EL certificates. Employers no longer need to keep certificates for 40 years, nor physically display them in the workplace, providing employees are able to access certificates electronically. Despite less onerous requirements being introduced by the legislation we highly recommend and are encouraging business customers to continue retaining their Employers Liability certficiation. This retention continues good business practice and reduces the risk of protracted disputes over the identity of the responsible insurer in due course. Memory Lane...
Back in 1982 saw the opening of Clarke Dove (Insurance Brokers) Ltd. and here we see the proud founders Mike Clarke and Reg Dove. The picture was taken at the grand opening of the new offices at 906 Woodborough Road, Mapperley, Nottingham. Clarke Dove have gone from strength to strength during the 25 plus years since this photo was taken, pushing forward into the digital age, with Mike and Reg now acting as Non-Excecutive Director and Chairman respectively. To compare and contrast the various styles of the day we have a picture of Mike and Reg in the same spot over 25 years on in January 2008.
